ArtsDEEP was created with you as an educator in mind, to help you easily learn about arts and cultural programming in the Dayton Region that aligns with your classroom teaching. We know your time is limited and our goal was to make a simple, searchable site where every type of exploration – field trip, in-school performance, workshop, or artist residency program – can be reviewed in one place with pricing per student and scheduling easily accessible.
We know that the cost of programs and transportation is often a barrier to access for students in some school districts in the Dayton Region. Our intent is to coordinate and provide mini-grants from local organizations and foundations that will enable all students to be able to experience arts and cultural explorations.

Welcome to ArtsDEEP, the education exploration portal provided by Culture Works through the generous support of The Dayton Foundation, the Mathile Family Foundation, Vectren/CenterPoint Energy Company, the Reynolds & Reynolds Associate Foundation, and Lockheed Martin.
ArtsDEEP for Educators and Administrators
ArtsDEEP is a free portal provided by Culture Works to help educators, education administrators, and homeschool groups find educational opportunities provided by arts organizations and artists in the Dayton Region and surrounding counties. Programming “explorations” are required to have an arts or cultural component to be included on the site, but often also have alignment with education core standards and benchmarks.
Both in-classroom and field trip explorations are included. Providers range from individual artists to large well-known arts organizations. Providers must apply to be listed on the site, and each exploration is reviewed prior to posting, but educators and administrators are encouraged to inquire further for details with the organization or artist providing a specific exploration when scheduling.
How to use ArtsDEEP:
We have focused on making ArtsDEEP very simple to use. We know your time is limited and valuable! Use the Search function above, entering as much or as little criteria as you would like. You can search by type of exploration (in-school, field trip), schedule (month, day, or time offered), grade level, and subject area. Searching for explorations is open to any user, but some information such as the cost per student will only be available to users who create an account and log-in.
Each exploration listing includes contact information for you to schedule the program with the artist or organization, or to ask additional questions.
Ohio Education Standards
Although we do not include the Ohio Education Standards met for every ArtsDEEP exploration, several of our larger organizations have taken the extra step to include a list of these standards that are met within their specific exploration. This information will be included on the information page about the specific exploration.
